Fall Creek Valley Dominates in Home Opener

Fall Creek Valley past Creston Middle School, 58-21, on Tuesday as Dominique Hollowell scored 17 points.


Fall Creek Valley never trailed in the game. Their biggest lead was by 44 points at 51-7.


Leading 33-7, Fall Creek Valley went on an 18-point run to pull further away. Fall Creek Valley had a strong first half, leading 40-7 at halftime and never looked back, securing the victory.


The second quarter proved to be a turning point for Fall Creek Valley as they outscored Creston Middle School 24-4. Fall Creek Valley shot 10-15 in the quarter.


Fall Creek Valley scored at will in the paint. They went 21-30 on twos. Fall Creek Valley rebounded the ball well, collecting 27 rebounds. Levin Robinson led the team with eight rebounds. Dezmen Rhodes hit two threes for Fall Creek Valley. Fall Creek Valley passed the ball well with 11 assists on 24 made baskets. Fall Creek Valley pressured the ball all game, collecting 12 steals. Hollowell led the team with seven steals. Dezmen Rhodes (12 points), Levin Robinson (10 points), Zyon Miller (4 points), Damone Eubank (4 points), Brayden Lazo (3 points), Dylan Wise (3 points), Justin Richardson (2 points), Thomas Wheat (2 points), and Luis Rivera (1 point) also pitched in for Fall Creek Valley.


Justin Roney scored nine points to lead Creston Middle School. Additional scorers for Creston Middle School included Jeremy Chaney (8 points) and Jace Bailey (4 points).
