We had a post game chat with New Palestines Adalynn Eakin(‘27).

We talk about the dominant football team and the great job Coach Ralph does in hyping up the team and getting them ready for practices and games. Azure felt she had a phenomenal defensive performance tonight. The team’s energy and confidence were very high, and they were able to compete well against a tough opponent. The second set was close, but coach encouraged us to come out strong and finish the game. Azure was making a lot of great digs and following up plays. She mentioned the underclassmen team is holding its own against more experienced opponents, and we’re feeling prepared for the tough conference schedule ahead. We had a post game chat with New Palestine’s Aiden Redmon (‘26).

Aiden talks about how the team played well, with every drive being a red zone drive. They had some penalties that most didn’t all agree with, but they knew we should win these games big against a strong Yorktown program. The message from the coach was to not play down to the level of the other teams and to keep our focus. As a lineman, Aiden explained that the weight room is what gets the team through these games and will help us succeed in the state tournament. We’re looking forward to our rivalry game against Mount Vernon next week, where we need to protect the rail and the helmet. He gave a shout-out to their running back Josh Ranes, who should be back soon.
