We had a post game chat with New Palestines Adalynn Eakin(‘27).

We talk about the dominant football team and the great job Coach Ralph does in hyping up the team and getting them ready for practices and games. Adalynn recently joined the team and was nervous for her first game, especially the kickoff, but the PATs got easier over time. At halftime, she mentioned that Coach Ralph said the team did a good job and kept up our efforts, even though the drills were repetitive. She plays soccer year-round, which helps with football, but I’m still nervous about living up to New Pals standards. We had a post game chat with New Palestines Azure Flagle (‘26).

Azure felt she had a phenomenal defensive performance tonight. The team’s energy and confidence were very high, and they were able to compete well against a tough opponent. The second set was close, but coach encouraged us to come out strong and finish the game. Azure was making a lot of great digs and following up plays. She mentioned the underclassmen team is holding its own against more experienced opponents, and we’re feeling prepared for the tough conference schedule ahead. She gave shoutouts to her outside hitter Natalie, as well as Emmy, Cara, and Hayden for their great plays.

Natalie talks about how the defense was much better tonight, with our outside hitters doing a great job and our middles really carrying us in hitting. The libero Azure was everywhere, picking up everything. Overall, as a team, she said they played really well and were able to pull away in the third set after a close second set. The coach’s message to the team after the second set was to step it up, and we did that in the third. New Pal is 2-0 in conference play now and feeling good about the season so far, with a tough schedule coming up that Natalie feels prepared for thanks to the strong team chemistry.

Cael stated he played pretty well with the limited reps he had, and the varsity team did very well overall. We blocked well, and our passing game was on point. The coach’s message coming into the game was to stay focused after a great week of practice, and that’s exactly what happened. We were up 58-0 at halftime, but the coach told us the game wasn’t over and to stay focused. Securing the rail for another year means a lot, especially as a new transfer. Next week, we’re looking forward to playing Pendleton, the second-best team in the conference.

Before halftime, he spoke about how the field goal block for a touchdown put them in a great position going into the second half. The defense and special teams played unbelievably well, while the offense was working through some things. The halftime message from the coach was to keep our foot on the pedal and keep going, and that’s what they did. Abe gave shoutouts to his parents, quarterback, and offensive line.
